    The Challenge

The existing roof skylights at a commercial retail store in Tamworth had failed, allowing water to enter the live store. The project focused on the skylights and their associated details.

The skylights were deemed fragile surfaces, so working around them required appropriate safety precautions. The condition of the skylights and the arrangements for working at roof level both needed to be considered.

    Our Approach

We surveyed the roof to establish the condition of the existing skylights and their details. This assessment informed the liquid waterproofing specification for the skylights.

A liquid waterproofing system was specified for the roof skylights. The specification focused on these elements and their waterproofing requirements.

Rope access engineers were appointed for safe working around the fragile skylights. Specialist access arrangements formed part of the approach to the project at the live retail store.
